You can add internal notes to orders to record additional information, shipping instructions, reminders, and more. This guide covers how to add notes to an order you've received.

Before you begin
- Notes are private and only visible to the site owners, Administrators, and Store Managers. They aren't included on printed orders or email notifications.
- After a note is saved, it can't be edited.
Add a note
Saved notes display the date, time, and the contributor who wrote the note. To add a note:
- In the Home Menu, click Commerce, then click Orders. You can also press ? while any panel is open and search orders.
- Click any order to open it.
- In the order summary, click the Internal Notes tab.
- Enter your note in the field.
- Click Save.
- Tap Orders.
- Tap any order to open it.
- In the order details, tap Internal Notes at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap the pencil icon in the bottom-right corner.
- Enter your note.
- Tap the ✓ to save and return to the order details
- Tap Orders.
- Tap any order to open it.
- In the order details, tap Internal Notes at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap the + in the top-right corner.
- Enter your note.
- Tap the ✓ to save and return to the order details.
Permanently delete a note
- In the Internal Notes tab of the order summary, hover over the note.
- Click Delete.
- In Internal Notes of the order summary, tap Edit.
- Tap the notes you want to delete.
- Tap Delete Selected.
- Tap Yes to confirm.
Tip: To delete an individual note, swipe left on the note, then tap Delete.
- In Internal Notes of the order summary, swipe left on the note you want to delete.
- Tap Yes.
